THE CONCEPT
The MDS Fuerteventura combines adventure and hotel accommodation for an exceptional week!
Explore the island of Fuerteventura and its breathtaking scenery.
On the program:
During the MDS adventure, you'll experience the rhythm of Fuerteventura's desert through 3 stages to be completed at your own pace: walking or running. You'll spend 3 nights at the MDS bivouac and enjoy 4 nights at the Playitas Resort hotel, offering numerous facilities (two nights before, two nights after).

Distances
You can choose between 3 different distances: 70, 100 or 120km, divided into 3 stages.
Here is the breakdown:
- Stage 1: around 25 to 30km
- Stage 2: around 20, 40 or 60km
- Stage 3: around 25 to 30km

A WEEK OUT OF TIME
Join the adventure serenely
The organisation of the MDS does its best to ensure that the event takes place in the best conditions, and that participants who register don’t take any risk with adjusted cancellation and postponement conditions.
Free postponement
In case of doubt as the adventure approaches, you can postpone your participation free of charge to the next edition, up to 60 days before departure.
Cancellation conditions
Our registration conditions allow you to cancel free of charge until 5 months before the event.
Cancellation insurance
In case of cancellation of the event by the organisation, you will be refunded 100% of the amount you paid within 60 days.
PLAYITAS RESORT
The MDS is a week of adventure in total: 2 nights at the Playitas Resort before the departure of the 1st stage, 3 nights in the desert, then 2 nights at the Playitas Hotel.
The Playitas Resort is located in the southeast of the island of Fuerteventura. It has many sports facilities, which make it the sportiest hotel in Europe.
During your stay at Playitas, you have access to the hotel's facilities (gym, yoga classes, indoor cycling, cross-fit room, etc.) and half-board (breakfast and buffet dinner included).
The Gala evening, which takes place on Thursday, is organized at Playitas. All participants staying at La Pared will have access to a shuttle service, before and after the event, to travel between the two hotels.

INFO HOW TO GET THERE?
Simply book your plane ticket to arrive at Fuerteventura airport on Saturday, September 28.
Once there, you will be welcomed by the organization and transfers will be organized to the hotel, which is 45min far from the airport. However, if you prefer to take a taxi to get there faster, this is also possible.

PROGRAM OF THE WEEK
Saturday: arrival at the hotel
Sunday: technical and medical checks, day and night at the hotel
Monday: first stage, night at the bivouac
Tuesday: second stage, night at the bivouac
Wednesday: rest day, night at the bivouac
Thursday: third stage, awards ceremony, gala dinner, night at the hotel
Friday: free night and day at the hotel
Saturday: return transfers and end of the adventure
WHAT DO I TAKE WITH ME?
If it’s your first MDS, you probably have a lot of questions. Once you've registered, we'll send you a complete checklist of materials, but here's the most important things to have per person:
- Backpack + 2 water bottles (Ultrabag 20L type)
- T-shirt + running shorts
- Trail shoes + Anti-sand gaiters
- Cap and sunglasses
- Change: light T-shirt + light shorts / leggings
- Windbreaker jacker for mornings and evenings
- Sleeping bag + mattress for the night
- Hygiene products (sunscreen, soap, antiseptic, etc.)
- Toilet paper
- Food and kitchen utensils (pots and pans, lighter, fire starter cube...)
You can take a large suitcase with more clothes, which you will leave in your hotel room and return to the hotel after the adventure for the last few days.

MEALS
A total of 10 meals will be required as follows:
- Day 3: lunch, dinner.
- Day 4 and 5: breakfast, lunch, dinner.
- Day 6: breakfast, lunch.
The equivalent to 2000KCAL per day is recommended by the organization.

PRICES
Here are the prices of the MDS Fuerteventura 2024:
Accommodation at Playitas Resort:
- Appart-hotel offer: 2,050€ per person
- Hotel for 2 offer: 2,250€ per person
- Hotel for 3 offer: 2,250€ per person
ULTRA-FLEXIBLE REGISTRATION CONDITIONS
Cancellation conditions:
- No cancellation fees until May 5, 2024.
- From May 6, 2024 to June 9, 2024 included, 25% of the total registration fee will be retained by the organization in case of cancellation.
- From June 10, 2024 to July 7, 2024 included, 50% of the total registration fee will be retained by the organization in case of cancellation.
- From July 7, 2024, no refund is possible, however it will still be possible to postpone according to the conditions detailed below.
Postponement conditions:
- Up to July 7, 2024 included, free postponement to the next edition is possible.
- From July 8, 2024 to August 18, 2024 included: 250€ fee for a report.
- From August 18, 2024: no postponement possible.
INCLUDED IN THE REGISTRATION FEE:
- Transfers from the airport to the hotel
- Bib for the race
- 3 nights at the MDS bivouac, in individual tent
- 4 nights half-board: 2 nights before the race + 2 nights after the race

SAFETY
During the race, you will be surrounded by the medical and organization teams from the beginning to the end of the stages.
The routes are marked out with stakes every 50/100 meters, so it is almost impossible to get lost.
You will all be equipped with a GPS beacon with an alarm button, allowing the organization to locate you at any time.
At any time, you can go to the medical tent present at the bivouac.

The number of instalments may vary depending on the date of registration. The registration will be 100% completed once the total amount of the registration fee has been paid.
