In addition to an unforgettable experience in the desert, you will experience the HMDS Fuerteventura and enjoy 4 nights of half-board accommodation in the heart of the island, within the Playitas Resort facilities. Indeed, you will sleep 1 night in the hotel before the start of the race and will benefit from 3 days of rest and relaxation at the end of the race.

Organized in a cell of 6 tents, the HMDS bivouac will allow you to eat, rest and above all exchange with the other runners. All this in a supportive, friendly and warm atmosphere.
The organization will provide you with a large individual tent.

Daily bivouac on a previously chosen site where the competitors benefit from a camp site under tent. Competitors will be able to spend their free time preparing for their overnight installation and medical care if necessary.
Competitors will keep the same tent throughout the adventure. It will be possible for competitors to choose with whom they wish to share the alveolus, before the race.
Every day the competitors will have to empty their tents before leaving for the stage and leave no business at the bivouac.
The bivouac is a resting place, exchange and sharing, phoning is prohibited.
Chemical toilets will be available near the bivouac and for competitors. No shower available.
A shadow area will also be set up so that competitors can rest and exchange outside the stages and especially during the rest day.
Adventure in food self-sufficiency
You will have to bring and carry your food during the 4 days of the race

The HMDS is an adventure in food self-sufficiency, so each competitor will have to bring back his provisions for the race days.
All competitors must bring their personal equipment to the race. The total obligatory equipment and personal belongings for each competitor (food, survival equipment and marathon kit, etc.) must weigh between 5 kg and 12 kg.
This minimum/maximum weight does not include the daily water supply. All participants must present their obligatory equipment at the administrative and technical day. Any food outside its original packaging must clearly feature the nutrition label relating to the product concerned.
Each competitor must plan his food needs from September 23rd to 26th, as follows:
23 September: lunch, dinner - FOOD SELF-SUFFICIENCY
24, 25 September: breakfast, lunch, dinner - FOOD SELF-SUFFICIENCY
26 September: breakfast, lunch - FOOD SELF-SUFFICIENCY
He will have to select the foods that he considers most suitable for the efforts made, the climatic conditions, the transport and the weight. It is strongly recommended to have a minimum of 2,000 k/calories per day race day. Gas stoves are strictly prohibited. Competitors will not be able to purchase food and water on their own during the race, on pain of penalty.
The organization takes care for water supply

The organization is responsible for the water supply for each competitor.
On each CP, competitors can recharge their cans or their water bag at the tanks provided. At the end of the stage, each competitor is given 5 litres of water. The next water supply will be on the first CP of the next day's stage.
Each competitor must manage his daily water needs according to the distribution of the water supply as indicated on the road-book and at no time will he be able to obtain supplies by his own means.
Do not leave without water: a water reserve is precious and even vital if the competitor deviates from the axis of the course for several hours.
September 22: You will leave your luggage on the island of Fuerteventura and experience an unforgettable adventure. Once you arrive at the airport, you will be transported to the Playitas Resort hotel. On this day, the technical, administrative and medical checks will take place at the hotel.
September 23: Transfer from Playitas hotel to the start line
